Clearing your Browser Cache
Internet Explorer 7.0
To clear cache in Internet Explorer 7.0:
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Internet Options”.
- Open the “General” tab.
- In “Browsing history” area click the “Delete” button.
- In “Delete browsing history” window click “Delete files”
- Then click Yes, and then click Close.
Internet Explorer 8.0
To clear cache in Internet Explorer 8.0:
- In the Safety menu, click Delete Browser History.
- Check the following boxes:
- > Temporary Internet files.
- > Cookies.
- > History.
- Click the Delete button.
OR
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Internet Options”.
- Open the “General” tab.
- In “Browsing history” area click the “Delete” button.
- In “Delete browsing history” window click “Delete files”
- Then click Yes, and then click Close.
Internet Explorer 5.x/6.x
- To clear cache (clear browser cache) in Internet Explorer 5.x/6.x
- Open the Tools menu.
- Select Internet Options.
- Open the General tab.
- In the “Temporary Internet files” area click the “Delete Files” button.
- Click OK in the “Delete Files” dialog box to clear cache.
Mozilla
To clear browser cache (clear cache) in Mozilla:
- Open the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences.
- Open the Advanced sub-categories and select “Cache”.
- Click “Clear Cache” button.
- Click OK to clear cache.
Firefox 2.0
To clear cache in Firefox 2.0:
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Options”.
- Select “Privacy”.
- In Private area click “Clear Now”.
- In “Clear Private Data” window put the check mark for “Cache” and click “Clear Private Data Now”.
- Click OK to clear Internet cache.
OR
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Options”.
- Select “Advanced”.
- Open “Network tab”.
- In Cache area click “Clear now” button.
- Click OK to clear Internet cache.
Firefox 1.5
To clear cache in Firefox 1.5
- Select “Tools”
- Select “Options”.
- Select “Privacy”.
- Open “Cache” tab and click “Clear Cache Now”.
- Click OK to clear Internet cache.
Google Chrome
- To clear cache in Google Chrome:
- Open the Customize and control Google Chrome.
- Select Clean Browsing Data.
- Select the “Empty the cache” check box.
- Click “Clear browsing data”. Doing so will clear the browser cache.
Apple Safari
To clear cache in Apple Safari:
- If you do not see a menu bar at the top of your browser, click on the gear icon at the top and on the right hand side, click Show Menu Bar
- Click on Edit from the menu bar.
- Click Empty Cache.
Opera 8.x
To clear Internet cache in Opera 8.x:
- Select Tools -> Preferences.
- Open the Advanced sub-categories and select “History”.
- Select “Empty now” next to “Disk Cache” and “Memory Cache”.
- Click OK to clear cache.
Opera 7.x
To clear Internet cache in Opera 7.x:
- Open the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences.
- Open the Advanced sub-categories and select “History”.
- Select “Empty now” next to “Disk Cache” and “Memory Cache”.
- Click OK.
Deleting Cookies:
Internet Explorer
- To delete cookies in Internet Explorer 5.x/6.x:
- Run Internet Explorer
- Open the Tools menu.
- Select Internet Options to open the Dialog box.
- Click the “Delete Cookies” button.
Firefox
- Open the Tools menu.
- Select Options.
- Select the Privacy to open sub-menu.
- Click the View cookies item.
- Select one or more cookies you want to remove and click “Remove Cookie”. Clicking “Remove All Cookies” will delete all cookies.
Google Chrome
- Open the Customize and control Google Chrome.
- Select Clean Browsing Data.
- Select the Delete cookies check box.
- Click “Clear browsing data”. Doing so will delete all cookies.
Opera 8.x
To delete cookies in Opera 8.x:
- Open the Tools menu.
- Select Preferences to open Dialog box.
- Open the Advanced tab.
- Select “Cookies”.
- Click the “Manage Cookies” button.
- Select one or more cookies you want to delete and click the “Delete” button.
Opera 7.x
- Open the File menu.
- Select Preferences to open Dialog box.
- Select the Network.
- Choose “Privacy” button.
- Select “Manage Cookies”
- Select one or more cookies you want to delete and click the “Delete” button.
Mozilla
- Open the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences to open Dialog box.
- Select the Privacy & Security to open sub-menu.
- Select the Cookies item.
- Click the Cookie Manager.
- Open the “Stored cookies” folder.
- Select one or more cookies you want to remove and click “Remove Cookie”. Clicking “Remove All Cookies” will delete all cookies.
